About GlyphSift

GlyphSift is an independent, browser-local Copy-Paste Text Studio for styling, cleaning, inspecting, and cautiously previewing Unicode text.

What we build

GlyphSift combines deterministic text transformations with visible coverage, character-level inspection, and evidence-aware compatibility language.

The project does not use AI to rewrite tone or meaning. Expression rewriting belongs to SayMorph; GlyphSift changes representation and structure.

What we refuse to claim

We do not call Unicode presentation characters installed fonts, promise that a style works everywhere, or label a platform rule verified without an evidence record.

Who builds and reviews the tools

Tool pages are authored and reviewed by the GlyphSift Editorial team — the same people who write the deterministic text engine. We build and test the software we document rather than commissioning generic descriptions of it.

Every tool page names its reviewer, its last-reviewed date, and the automated evidence and Unicode standards behind it.

How we test

The engine ships with a deterministic test suite of over 100 cases across eight node:test suites, run after each production build with no network access and no randomness.

Suites cover tool contracts and character coverage, cleanup and transform edge cases, Unicode inspection, compatibility-risk detection, and server-rendered HTML. Behavior is derived from the published Unicode standards (UAX #9, #15, #29; UTS #39) and RFC 3629 for UTF-8.

Static Unicode maps target Unicode 17.0. Segmentation and normalization use the runtime's Unicode data.
